White Plains-ல் I-287 கட்டுமான பணி கடந்த 3 வாரங்களாக நடந்து வருகிறது. இந்த பணி முடிய மூன்று ஆண்டுகள் ஆகும். சுமார் மூன்று கிலோமீட்டர் பாதையை சரி செய்ய 2250 கோடி இந்திய ரூபாய் செலவாகுமாம்!!! இவ்வளவு அதிக செலவாக காரணம், இந்த இடத்தின் இரு பக்கமும் பாறையாக உள்ளது. ரோட்டை பெரிது படுத்த வெடி வைத்து பாறைகளை தகர்க்க வேண்டும். 2-3 பாலங்களை (flyover) புதிதாக கட்ட வேண்டும். ஆனாலும் மூன்று கி.மீ. க்கு, இது மிக மிக பெரிய செலவாக தோன்றுகிறது. இந்த வழியாக தான் நான் தினம் அலுவலகம் சென்று வருவேன்.

Yes, when you conver to Indian Rupees, that seems to be way too much of money for just 1.8 miles !!
Countries other than US need to earn the money to spend it.
Whereas the US government need NOT earn money, they just need to make their money printing presses to work harder. That is it.
